Winter Concert
Trinity Henleaze URC Waterford Road, Bristol, United KingdomJoin us for an unmissable evening of classical masterpieces! 📅 Saturday, 22 November 2025 🕢 7.30pm 🎼 Conductor: Sebastian See-Schierenberg 🎻 Leader: Lisa Orton Beethoven, Overture Coriolan - This highly-charged overture to a tragic play depicts the conflicting emotions of a heroic and ambitious Roman general as his mother’s desperate appeals fatally sway him in his warlike resolve. Chopin, Piano Concerto no. 2 - This deeply lyrical composition, written at age 20 and inspired by Chopin’s emotional involvement with a beautiful fellow student, offers the soloist ample opportunity for dazzling virtuosic display. Mozart, Symphony No. 40 in G minor - Often regarded as the peak of Mozart’s symphonic achievement, this much-loved work is both dramatic and almost unbearably poignant.
